Happy New Year!

December 30, 2016

What time would it be if your life were measured by a 24 hour clock? If you are 25 years old you’d be getting ready for work.  If you are 45 you’d be finishing lunch. At 65 you are finishing supper. That is a poignant way to look at this life God gave us.

Jesus said, “As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me because night is coming.” (John 9:4) We were put on this earth with a job to do and there is limited time to do it.

So I wish for you what Jesus wished for everyone… a peaceful and productive New Year. Don’t only make resolutions that serve your interest, but more so, determine to make the most of the precious time God has given you. Resolve to serve him more faithfully because the fields are ripe for the harvest. Make every hour count and 2017 will be your best year yet.

Service on New Year’s Day is at 10:45 a.m. at both the Jones Road and Fry campuses. What a better way to start off the year than on a Sunday, at worship, hearing about how to use this new beginning to serve Him? We hope to see you there!

Happy New Year,

Godfrey Hubert, Co-Pastor
