Board Chair

Benny is a long-time member of Foundry and serves as the Chairman of the Leadership Board. He and his wife, Nikki, serve the Lord at the Jones Road campus, where they were married and confirmed and baptized their four children. Benny says, without a doubt, Foundry is part of their lives.

Benny is a partner with Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Agosto, Aziz & Stogner of Houston, Texas, but he was born in New York City and raised in Puerto Rico. From a young age, his parents taught him that through hard work and determination, anything was possible – a principle he has applied throughout his life, in school, on the soccer field, and in the courtroom. An avid soccer player in San Juan, he was recruited by Houston Baptist University to attend and play NCAA Division I soccer. He went on to the University of Houston to work on his graduate degree in microbiology and taught high school and college students for six years. Benny realized that although he loved teaching and coaching soccer, he needed more. He attended South Texas College of Law Houston and is now a board certified trial lawyer.

Personnel Chair

Sally joined Foundry with her husband, Neal, in 1991. They have a son who works and lives in the Woodlands. Sally is a member of the Jones Road Sanctuary choir and is part of a group of volunteers who maintain the music library for the choir and the band/orchestra. Sally has participated in various women’s Bible studies and activities. While her children were young, she volunteered in pre-school worship and Sunday evening children’s activities and continues to volunteer with VBS which brings her great joy. She served on the Sanctuary Building Committee during the design and construction. 

Sally has served on the former Staff Parish Relations Committee providing expertise in Human Resources having spent her 39-year career in this field in both the financial and oil and gas industries. She continues to provide this expertise as the Personnel Chair. The importance of serving others through volunteer activities was taught to Sally early by her parents and reinforced during college. Her dearest friendships primarily stem from relationships built through service, and she believes it is a privilege to serve here at Foundry.

Finance Chair

Clark began attending Foundry in 2020 with his wife, Cassie, and their three daughters, Camille, Caroline, and Mackenzie. All three daughters attended Foundry preschool and are active in Foundry Kids Ministry. Clark and Cassie have served in various capacities at Foundry, including leading small groups, Lent groups, and teaching Sunday school in Kid’s Ministry. Clark is an active member of the Emmaus community and is serving on an upcoming Kairos walk in April 2024. Both Clark and Cassie are committed to serving the Lord and living a life filled with prayer and sharing the goodness of the Gospel.

In his professional life, Clark has always worked in oil & gas, serving in various roles in operations, M&A, and business development. Currently, Clark is Executive Director of Midstream and Marketing for NextEra Energy and works in downtown Houston. Clark has BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and a MBA from Rice University.

Justin joined Foundry in 2017 with his wife, Layne, and their two beautiful daughters, Lilly and Lottie. He first began serving at Fry on the Usher team shortly after joining. As their daughters grew older, Justin and Layne then began serving in Children’s Ministry and eventually VBS every year. They believe it is such a blessing to share the love of Jesus with the kids and watch them grow in their faith. Justin went on his Walk to Emmaus in the fall of 2021 and grew his relationship with God immensely. Justin is honored to be serving on the Board as the Finance Chair.

Professionally, Justin, with his business partner, owns his own commercial real estate brokerage, Clark Gaines Properties. His firm has been named as Heavy Hitters and Justin was named one of the Top 40 People under 40 by Houston Business Journal. He also has been involved with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo for 17 years, and currently serves as Chairman of the Gatekeepers Committee. Foundry is a second home for his family - the relationships and community he and his family have found here have been life changing and life giving for them.

Facilities Chair

Al and his wife, Carleen, and their four children joined Foundry around 1992. Prior to attending Foundry, they were members at Cypress Methodist Church where he was a Trustee and Lay leader. Al’s career took him oversees for several years and upon returning to the States, they joined Foundry and became members of the Sojourners Class.

Al holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M and MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Houston. His professional career started with Boeing working on NASA’s Apollo Program and then with several oil and gas manufacturers. Al retired in 2016 as a Division General Manager. When Hurricane Harvey hit, Foundry’s local assistance efforts began, and Al lead that team. Al is currently the Vice Chairman of the Board of Cy-Hope, where he has been involved for many years. Al currently holds a volunteer position on the Foundry staff as the Facilities Supervisor. He is the Facilities Chair on the Foundry Board. He and Carleen attend the Traditional Service at Jones Road and are members of the Living by Grace Life Group.

Monica and her husband Scott have been married for almost 25 years and have three teenagers. All three (Alec, Bella, and Laston) are graduates of Foundry preschool and have been confirmed. They have been members of Foundry since 2007 and have served ever since. Monica can honestly say Foundry has been an integral part of her testimony and transformation. She is forever grateful for her home church and can't imagine her life without Foundry.

Monica is passionate about helping her community, and in 2019 she founded Texas Diamonds Chapter for the National Charity League (NCL). She has served in many leadership roles st Foundry including Lay Leader, Board, Nominations Team, SPRC Committee, Director of Women Ministries, Emmaus  Board, and others.

Since 2014, she has worked for a passive seismic monitoring company called MicroSeismic, and she is currently the Chief Marketing Officer. She is a proud member of the American Marketing Association and Women in Leadership at chief.com.

Scott and his wife, Angela, joined Foundry in 2002. Their children, Grant and Paige, have both grown up at Foundry, being a part of Foundry Day School, VBS, and Upwards, and both were in Confirmation at Jones Road. Scott and Angela met at Texas Tech University and in Lubbock. After their marriage in Ft. Worth, they landed in Houston where Scott was born and raised. Scott’s parents are instrumental in his faith, and he feels very blessed to have been raised by them, knowing the beauty of God. Recently, Scott and Angela celebrated 25 years of marriage! 

In his professional life, Scott has always been in outside sales in the technology field, and currently he works at Lumen Technologies as an Account Director. At Foundry, he has been involved in ministries serving youth and economically challenged families in the community. Over the last 20 years, he has coached in the Upwards Program, Dierker’s Champs, mentored at Francone Elementary, and been involved in AOC and local missions. Today, Scott and Angela serve on the Host Team at Fry Road, and Scott recently had the privilege of working with high school students in FSM.

Kerry and her husband, Paul, joined Foundry in 2001. They have three sons—a recent college graduate, a junior at Oklahoma State, and a sophomore at Bridgeland High School. They were members of Family Bond Life Group at Jones Road. This group was a great influence on them and their feeling of connectedness. It is where she and Paul built a foundation of scriptural study together alongside friends they are blessed to call family 20+ years later. Kerry has always felt God’s presence in her life, but Foundry opened the door to an even greater connectedness. Over the years, she served in various roles in Kid’s Ministries, and she continued to serve in various roles with the launch of the Fry Road campus.

Kerry has a 30-year career in advertising. She was raised with a strong work ethic and was taught to keep her eyes open to opportunities where she can be of help. In 2019, she was asked to be on the Staff Parish Relations Committee, and subsequently the Board, where she is humbled to serve still today. She also serves on the Host Team at Fry Road. She and Paul are members of the BASIC Life Group.

Toby and his family joined Foundry shortly after the Fry Road Campus opened in 2013. Toby and his wife, Amy, have three boys, Brennan, Colton and Tyson. All have been shaped by Foundry’s Children’s Ministry and currently the Student Ministry. Toby and Amy have served in various capacities here at Foundry including Children’s, Students and various Adult Ministries. They currently serve on Coffee Crew at the Fry Road Campus.

Professionally, Toby is a partner in a small real estate finance, investment, and brokerage firm. The firm has been in business for 16 years and generates commercial real estate transactions all over the country. Attending and serving at Foundry has had a tremendous impact on Toby and his family’s spiritual walk. In 2020, Toby and Amy attended the Foundry Israel trip that deepened their relationship with God, each other, and other Foundry members and they will never forget it. They believe they have been truly blessed with all the relationships and experiences made at Foundry. Toby and his family look forward to continuing the message: “to know, follow, and share Jesus with others.”
