Lenten Art
Engage
God uses all different mediums to reach His people and build His Kingdom! That’s why we’re spending some time encouraging scriptural engagement through visual art this Lenten season. As we journey through the Beatitudes, we are asking folks to consider what images and impressions come to mind for them and share their art as a way of sharing their faith.
Reflect
We invite you to join us each week for artistic reflection of the Sunday message provided by artist Dani Mays...

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. God, break our hearts today for what breaks Yours.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted (Matthew 5:4) "God is our portion, Christ our companion, the Spirit our Comforter, Earth our lodge, and Heaven is our home." -Charles Spurgeon

Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth (Matthew 5:5) May we rest in the safety of His pasture. May His gentleness guide us. And may His Spirit be fruitful in us.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. God, break our hearts today for what breaks Yours.

Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. Father, guided me today in your mercy, not only to receive it but to extend it.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Matthew 5:8 As our focus on God increases, so does our ability to see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. (Matthew 5:9 NIV) “Peace, in its deepest essence and at its very core, is the presence of God.” (JD Walt)
